BBC Radio 2's Friday Night Is Music Night, the world's longest-running live orchestral radio programme, will celebrate the life and music of three of the most enduring artists of our time next month, with a string of special concerts at The London Palladium.
Backed by a 24-piece orchestra, Tom Chaplin, best known as frontman of beloved British band Keane, will take the stage to perform the songs of Queen, multi-Grammy-winning US soul star Peabo Bryson, whose new album Stand For Love is out now, is paying homage to Barry White, and platinum-selling Beverley Knight celebrates the songs of Stevie Wonder.
The concerts are being recorded for broadcast in January 2019.
"To be given the opportunity to perform songs by Stevie Wonder, one of my lifelong idols, with an incredible 24-piece orchestra accompanying me, is a true honour and I'm counting down the days!".
Tom Chaplin: "Despite having sung the songs of Queen my entire life, matching the intricacy and brilliance of these great tunes is going to require a lot of hard work! But as Freddie sings in We Are The Champions - "I consider it a challenge before the whole human race that I ain't gonna lose!""
