The New Musicals Network will present Snappy Title - Making History, a charity cabaret presentation of songs from classic musicals combined with new musical theatre writing, at The Pheasantry on Sunday February 21.
The programme will feature an array of new and rarely performed songs by composers and writers such as Kara Taylor Alberts, Mark Alcorn, Alexander Bermange, Charles Bloom, Mark Bunyan, Dan Furman, Mark Goldthorp, Eamonn O'Dwyer, AnnMarie Lewis-Thomas, Tim Thomas and song-writing duos Ian Cook & Ian Newton and Christopher J. Orton & Robert Gould. There will also be material from iconic musicals such as Cabaret, Les Miserables and Wicked - all on the theme of "making history".
The stellar cast of vocalists for the concert, who will be accompanied by a live 4-piece band, will include Will Barratt (War Of The Worlds, Jersey Boys, Sweeney Todd, The Phantom Of The Opera, Les Miserables), Alice Fearn (Oliver!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Shrek, Into The Woods), Kirsty Hoiles (Call The Midwife, The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole, Betty Blue Eyes, Spend Spend Spend, Les Miserables), Jordan Langford (Elegies For Angels Punks & Raging Queens, Orton The Musical), Martin Neely (Pinocchio, The Verb To Love, The Hired Man, Les Miserables) and Jessica Singer (Tick Tick Boom).
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to MyAware (the Myasthenia Gravis Association), a charity which since 1976 has been devoted to supporting those with the rare, debilitating and sometimes life-threatening condition Myasthenia Gravis, and their families. http://www.myaware.org/
