Theatre N16's upstairs space has been turned into a bedroom attic, home to Wendy, Michael and John Darling. It's time for bed, but the boys want one more story, and so do the children sitting in the audience. Wendy agrees, and off we go.

Jenny Wilford plays the motherly storyteller, inviting the children on a trip to Neverland. It sounds exciting: there's mermaids, lost boys, tribal warriors, and of course, a swashbuckling pirate. Wilford sprinkles glitter into tiny hands, and after the closing and opening of eyes during a count of three, we've arrived.

Nothings changed in terms of staging, but if we use our imagination we can try to picture this world full of lakes, coves and campsites. The imagining part comes much easier for the children, and they are fully engaged. They happily shout out answers to questions, and sing along to a catchy tune about a bear.

Olivia Bernstone and Alastair Michael play the world's inhibitors. Quick costume changes and simple props work to their favour. Highlights include Bernstone's antagonistic pirate, who's jealous of Hook's fame, and Michael's Scouse, lazy sea creature, brought to life by a sleeping bag acting as his mermaid tail.

The three actors work hard to keep the momentum up. There are times during interaction with a child where they seem unsure; there is one that won't stop contributing, and they look slightly panicky, but despite this, they still manage to progress the narrative.

However, the tale feels too short. Wendy does mention it'll be a quick story, but at only 40 minutes, it seems that there is too much content packed in, without enough unpicking taking place. We shouldn't underestimate children's ability to remaIn Focused, and I wish Frankie Meredith had written more.

The show's simplicity is exciting, yet also works to its detriment. Despite entertaining the kids, Scott Ellis' production isn't the most engaging for adults. That being said, if you do find yourself stuck on how to entertain your child this half-term, Finding Peter at Theatre N16 might be the answer.
