Hi Shona, and welcome to BWW:UK. How did you get involved in Easter With The Composers?

I have known Simon Greiff at SimG Productions for quite a few years now. I have been so impressed by his promotion of new writing as I too am very excited by the talent around at the moment.

I have been busy touring in Chess both here in the UK and in Toronto and I really wanted to get involved in one of these showcases now that I am back in town; in fact, I have been involved in a few showcases lately, most recently an evening of Anderson and Petty material at the Delfont Room.

What songs will you be singing on Sunday?

In this showcase I am thrilled to be singing material by Chris Passey, Joe Sterling, Lindsey Miller and Jake Brunger & Pippa Cleary.

I am thrilled to be involved in this showcase of new British composers. I believe that new writing is thriving here in the UK at the moment and I love being involved right at the beginning of the journey. It's extremely exciting to imagine the possibilities of what may happen with these new writers in the future.

I also have my debut album out - I'll Bring You a Song - and this features quite a bit of new writing including songs by Christopher Hamilton, Dougal Irvine, Richard Beadle, Miller & Hammonds as well as more well known established material. It'll be available to buy on the night for £10.

Shona White features in Easter With The Composers at the Battersea Barge on Sunday.
