The Lyric Hammersmith today announces that their stage production of Sir Alan Parker's world famous musical Bugsy Malone will extend its run until Saturday 5 September 2015.

The production is the UK's first professional stage production of Bugsy Malone in over a decade and has reopened the Lyric Hammersmith following a multi-million pound redevelopment and creation of the Reuben Foundation Wing.

Three different casts will continue to perform the lead roles in rotation.

Full cast includes Jamila Ajadi, Samantha Allison, Hammed Animashaun, Miles Barrow, Emily Beacock, Katie Blythe, Zoe Brough, Sophia Decaro, Oliver Emery, Max Gill, Sasha Gray, Isaac Gryn, Ainsley Hall Ricketts, Ashton Henry Reid, Cristina Hoey, Asanda Jezile, Thea Lamb, Katie Lee, Archie Lewis, Leah Levman, Marley Lockhart, Michael Matias, Grant McIntyre, Jacques Miche, Tahj Miles, Rachel Moran, James Okulaja, Daniel Purves, Lauran Rae, Jenson Steele, Lucy Thomas, Dale White, Jermaine Woods, Eleanor Worthington-Cox and William Wright-Neblett.

The production is directed by Sean Holmes.

Bugsy Malone is set in Prohibition era New York with rival gangsters Fat Sam and Dandy Dan at logger heads. As custard pies fly and Dan's destructive 'splurge guns' wreak havoc, Bugsy Malone, a penniless ex-boxer and all round nice guy, falls for Blousey Brown, an aspiring singer. Will Bugsy be able to resist seductive songstress Tallulah, Fat Sam's moll and Bugsy's old flame, and stay out of trouble while helping Fat Sam to defend his business?
