Annalene’s debut album ‘Close Your Eyes’ is full of wonderfully melodic tunes, with each one telling a story. From Stephen Sondheim’s No One Is Alone/Children Will Listen to Scott Alan’s Always/Goodnight. Each one of these stories comes to life with Annalene’s pure voice and the emotion that she puts into performing each one.

To launch the album Annalene appeared at the Dress Circle shop in London’s Covent Garden on Saturday 10th October to perform a number of songs and sign CD’s and by 12.30pm the shop was full of people waiting for her to appear.

As Annalene appeared to much applause we were treated to a performance of three songs, Lion Tamer by Stephen Schwartz, a never before recorded Hannah’s Dream by Grant Olding and a mix of Scott Alan’s Always & Goodnight. Singing acoustically we were really given the chance to hear Annalene’s voice and it gave us a hint of the ‘unplugged’ sound that the album has.
