Award-Winning Theatre Company Bring Unconventional New Clown Show THE OTHERS To Sprint 2018 Image

Multi-award winning emerging theatre company We Are Kilter will perform their funny, brash and moving new show The Others as part of Sprint 2018, CPT's annual festival for unconventional theatre. It will be shown at 9pm on Friday 16th March, coinciding with the first anniversary of the government's triggering of Article 50, commencing Britain's exit from the EU.

The Others finds three derelict clowns in the dusty aftermath of Brexit, Grenfell and the refugee crisis as they unpick their futile attempts to make an impact on the world. It is piece billed as an exploration of feeling like one of the others and laughing through it, through physical theatre, text and clowning. If you've ever felt like you're not being heard, We Are Kilter invites you to join their collective shout into the void.

Devised and performed by Gabriella Leon (Can Can R&D, Told by an Idiot, Close at Landor Space), Phoebe Stapleton (Tribe, Temper Theatre) & Ed Theakston (Bit of Sunshine, Theatre503), The Others was originally developed under the mentorship of Uri Roodner, and then in an R&D at Styx, Tottenham Hale, where Jeremy Mortimer (BBC Radio) called it 'Brilliant and inventive.'

We Are Kilter's previous work includes Bit of Sunshine (Theatre503 / Best Play award, Stockwell Playhouse One Act Festival), Attic (King's Head, Islington), and Mudlarks (WCA, in association with the Lyric, Hammersmith). They won the East 15 Emerging Companies Award in 2017.
