Avenue Q arrived in London's West End a year ago, and has, since then, been a hugely popular hit with audiences. Proving a big draw with young audiences, the show has bucked trends in the West End and is fast becoming a lasting fixture.
Embracing youth culture through regular TV appearances, You Tube, MySpace, Bluetooth Marketing and the new Mobile Phone ticketing system, Avenue Q is proving that there is a young market for a West End Musical. The unique midweek pricing is designed to support this, and packed houses are proving that this hit show from New York is a must see for audiences.
AVENUE Q is the creation of a host of talented young 30-something theatre artists. AVENUE Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx; and directed by Jason Moore.
