Giggin4Good will present the latest in their series of charity concerts - A Merry Little Christmas - at the Union Theatre on Sunday December 7, following a hugely successful concert - When You Wish Upon A Star - at the Actors' Church in May and a previous festive show at the Union in December 2013.
Giggin4Good is helmed by producers Emma Howe, Karen Howe and Hayley Guild (who are all professional children's nannies) along with actor/singer Shaun McCourt (currently covering and playing the title role in the UK tour of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Deamcoat). They have already raised a substantial amount of much-needed funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital's oncology, play therapy, respiratory care, neonatal care and palliative care units through a series of concerts since Giggin4Good's inception in July 2011. The upcoming concert will once again raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital as well as for the Child Poverty Action Group, which campaigns for the abolition of child poverty in the UK and aims to give children who live in poverty a better Christmas.
A Merry Little Christmas will be an evening of Christmas songs, old and new - including a brand new Christmas song written by actor/singer/songwriter Rob Eyles (14/18, Dreamboats And Petticoats) and lyricist Robert Gould (whose album of songs with his lyrics, Words Shared With Friends, was nominated for a BWW 2014 Album Award for Best Compilation Album).
The hugely talented cast of performers for A Merry Little Christmas will include Lucy Jane Adcock, Julie Atherton, Marcus Ayton, Andrew Bateup, Maria Coyne, Matthew Croke, Jordan Lee Davies, Jennifer Dinoia, Dale Evans, Scott Garnham, Jordan Langford, Jeremy Legat, Nathan Lodge, Carolyn Maitland, Shaun McCourt, Perry O'Dea, Katie Paine, Celinde Schoenmaker, Benjamin Vivian-Jones, Jason Winter and Gary Wood.
The concert will be musically directed by Marc McBride.
