It's finally been confirmed that Andrew Lloyd Webber's next talent search will be for a Jesus Christ Superstar - after years of it being rumoured.

However, this time round he'll be taking his show to ITV1.

The previous series - Over The Rainbow, I'd Do Anything, Any Dream Will Do and How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? - have all aired on BBC1.

ITV1 don't have a huge track record in these kinds of talent shows (Grease Is The Word was not a huge ratings success) but they do, of course, have the power of The X Factor behind them.

So I opened up the question to Twitter - will you be watching this new show on ITV1? Or is it all a bit old hat after four previous musical theatre searches?

The reaction was mixed.

"I will. I hope they call the contestants the Jesuses - like the Nancys and the Josephs," says Mathilda.

"It is getting a bit old now, but with the channel move might give it a go. Plus, I love the music from Superstar!" says Jo.

The channel move does seem to pose a problem for some.

Peter says: "I don't watch ITV at all if I can help it so..." and Ade added: "I'm just remembering how badly they did Grease. I imagine I'll give it a go though."

But some people have reached the end of their tether with Lloyd Webber searching for his protagonists on prime-time Saturday night TV.

" I'm over it. it was great in the first couple, but it's got too much ... and I doubt moving to ITV will make it less so," says Alice.
