Untold Stories New Writing Festival is excited to be bringing the second leg of their New Writing Festival to The Pleasance in November. Following a sold out festival at The Arcola earlier this year and a hugely successful year at SLAM Kings Cross in 2017, where they staged 24 new plays over four festivals to sell out audiences and critical acclaim.

Once again, they will be presenting a collection of diverse new plays by some of the most exciting and up and coming theatre makers and playwrights, featuring highlights from 2017, the best of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, International Artists from the US, and debuts from existing artists.

Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th November
Stevie by Rebecca Jones
Noah has spent his life in a wheelchair, but that hasn't stopped him having sporting dreams

Simply Siblings by Shobu Kapoor
Jay turns up with a huge surprise for Suni. Unfortunately, she's got one for him too and it isn't pretty. A brother-sister story, fired in the ovens of memory.

The System by Kirsty Osmon
A dramatic social commentary following the lives of four Londoners struggling to overcome the systems that bind them. Can you possibly succeed with nothing but the triumph of human spirit?

Percy by Tom Collinson
Percy, a shop assistant in his fifties, has devoted his life to the store. Will his loyalty be enough to save his future?

Miss Irrelevant by Jeff Stolzer
A woman goes to a book signing and confronts a retired football star about a sexual encounter they had years earlier. This is the play's UK debut.

I'll be Along D'reckly by Mark Lindow
Grandpa Tony knows things have changed for the youth in Cornwall, but does his grandson really need to hear about it as he's being driven to the church?

Hamotzi by Emma Zadow
The Old World haunts Jewish-Russian immigrant Rochalle as she takes her first steps into the New World of America at the start of the 20th Century.

The Edge of You by Rebecca Robin
From the outside, James and Grace seem the perfect couple. But what about from the inside? A new play that exposes the gaps between what we think and what we say.
