Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck brings together an ensemble of musicians for an evening of theatre and film music at The Almeida Theatre during the run of Measure for Measure for which he will compose the music. Tickets for the concert on Sunday 10 January 2010 at 7pm are £12 with £8 concessions.
The concert will include music from the films Shakespeare in Love - for which Warbeck won an Academy Award, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Charlotte Gray and Birthday Girl and theatre music includes the score from the Almeida's production of Parlour Song.The ensemble, including Stephen Warbeck, comprises seven musicians - Sarah Homer (clarinets and saxophones), John Parricelli (guitars), Paul Clarvis (drums and percussion), Rob Millett (percussion), Nick Cooper (cello) and Tim Harries (bass) - all of whom have all worked regularly with Warbeck.Warbeck composes for theatre, film, television and ballet as well as his band The hKippers. For the Almeida Warbeck has composed music for When the Rain Stops Falling, Parlour Song, Cloud Nine, Dying For It and Michael Attenborough's forthcoming production of Measure for Measure.Videos
