All Female West End Cast Announced For New British Musical SIX Image

Final casting is today announced for the eagerly anticipated West End premiere of new British musical SIX at the Arts Theatre from Thursday 30 August - Sunday 23 September.

From Tudor queens to pop princesses, the SIX wives of Henry VIII finally take the mic to tell their tale, remixing 500 years of her-storical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of sisterly sass-itude.

Powered by an all-female band and with songs including Ex-Wives, Haus of Holbein and Don't Lose Ur Head, this high-octane pop concert musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss is widely tipped to be one of the most exciting new West End shows of 2018.

Jarneia Richard-Noel (Catherine Of Aragon) was in The Color Purple in Concert at Cadogan Hall; Millie O'Connell (Anne Boleyn) recently appeared in the UK tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie and was understudy Peggy Sawyer, 42nd Street, Theatre Du Chatelet, Paris; Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour) was Louise in Sunday in the Park with George at the Menier Chocolate Factory; Alexia McIntosh (Anna Of Cleves) was Rosa, in Godiva Rocks at Belgrade Theatre; Aimie Atkinson (Katherine Howard) was Daniela in In The Heights at Kings Cross Theatre and
originated the lead role of Luisa in Zorro the Musical (UK Tour); Maiya Quansah-Breed (Catherine Parr) has just graduated from Guildford School of Acting; Grace Mouat, who completes the cast as swing/dance captain, has also just graduated from GSA.
Prior to the West End run, SIX will open at Norwich Playhouse (11-15 July) before Cambridge Arts Theatre (17-21 July) and following last year's sell-out run it will return to the Edinburgh Fringe to the main Underbelly purple cow in George Square (1-27 August).

SIX is a co-production between Kenny Wax and Global Musicals. Wendy Barnes of Global Musicals said: "Kenny, Andy and I saw the previous production independently of each other but we were all immediately blown away by the funny, relevant humour and infectious score that these two young talents had created. We are proud to debut their first musical and begin an ambitious and exciting journey for the piece, which is particularly timely as we strive for female equality and empowerment. These women were so much more than history would have us believe."

Directed by Lucy Moss & Jamie Armitage. Choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. Set Design: Emma Bailey. Costume Design: Gabriella Slade. Lighting Design: Tim Deiling. Sound Design: Paul Gatehouse. Musical Supervisor: Joe Beighton. Orchestrations Tom Curran.

Further UK tour dates to be announced.

Toby Marlow (writer) and Lucy Moss (writer and co-director)
Toby and Lucy met at university in Cambridge, where they spent three years making theatre together and neglecting their degrees. In January 2017, they made their first foray into writing as a duo with the musical, SIX. Following the show's success in Edinburgh, they are incredibly excited for its return in 2018 and West End season at the Arts Theatre. The team also make up two-thirds of the award-winning theatre company Hot Gay Time Machine, whose show, Hot Gay Time Machine, enjoyed considerable success at the fringe last year, and a sold out run at The Other Palace in London.

Kenny Wax Ltd - Producer
Kenny has produced three of Mischief Theatre Company's hit shows, the Olivier award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong (in its fourth year at the Duchess theatre, and currently the longest running play on Broadway), the Olivier-nominated Peter Pan Goes Wrong at the Apollo Theatre and Olivier-nominated The Comedy About A Bank Robbery at the Criterion Theatre which has just celebrated its second birthday. Kenny produced the world-premiere production of Top Hat, which was the recipient of three Laurence Olivier Awards including Best New Musical from its seven nominations, and the Evening Standard Award for Best Night Out and Once On This Island which won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical in 1995 from its four nominations. Last year Kenny produced Sally Cookson's adaptation of Francesco Fellini's Oscar winning masterpiece La Strada which ran at The Other Palace following a regional tour and Around the World in 80 Days, a co-production with the Stoke New Vic Theatre. He was nominated as 'Producer of the Year' at the 2017 Stage Newspaper Awards and in June 2017 Kenny was appointed President of the Society of London Theatre which provides a collective voice for the theatre owners, producers and managers of all the major commercial and grant-aided theatres across London.

Global Musicals Ltd - Producer
Andy and Wendy Barnes have been independent producers for almost 12 years. They are also the founders of Perfect Pitch, a non-profit company dedicated to the creation, development and production of new British musical theatre which continues to be part of Arts Council England's National Portfolio of funded arts organisations. In 2017, they created a new commercial Production Company, Global Musicals, to produce and general manage new musicals, in the West End and internationally. This UK tour of SIX marks the inaugural production for 'Global' but previous productions Andy and Wendy have produced include The Wiz at Hackney Empire starring Sharon D. Clarke, several productions of Departure Lounge in Edinburgh, New York, Chicago and in London starring Chris Fountain which was nominated for 'Best New Musical' in the Whatsonstage.com Awards. Dr. Foster at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Someone Who'll Watch Over Me at the Gene Frankel Theatre in New York, and a UK tour of Dreams Come Out to Play in a co-production with Birmingham Rep. They are extremely proud to have developed The Go-Between which successfully toured the UK and for which the production was nominated for a Whatsonstage Award for 'Best New Musical' and winning the UK Theatre Award for Best Musical. They were Associate Producers on the West End transfer in 2016 starring Michael Crawford.

George Stiles - Executive Producer
George Stiles is delighted to be making his producing debut, helping to nurture these two original British writing talents.
