According to the Daily Mail, Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal, stars of the 1970 hit movie, "Love Story" will step into the shoes of another pair of lovers as they star in a touring production of Love Letters, by A.R. Gurney.
In the production which will tour for 11 weeks around the UK, beginning September 11, 2017, the two will assume the roles of Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, who meet as seven-year-olds , where they exchange thank-you notes in a classroom and continue a written relationship for the next 50 years. The UK tour will be a reprisal of the show for these actors who briefly toured the U.S. with the show.
The tour is scheduled to play at at the Theatre Royal, Bath, Theatre Royal, Newcastle; Bradford, Edinburgh, Norwich, Woking, Sheffield, Liverpool, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Nottingham, and finish its run at the Bord Gais Theatre in Dublin.
Tickets for the tour will be available in early 2017.
