In a bold move designed to continue to make Avenue Q accessible to all, Cameron Mackintosh has priced weekday grand circle seats at just £10. Since day one, the hilarious, feel-good musical about young people finding their way in the world has pulled in new audiences as well as regular theatergoers.
This new pricing is available for Monday to Thursday evenings and Friday 5.30pm matinees. The initiative coincides with the move to the Gielgud Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue from 1 June, after a storming three years at the Noël Coward Theatre.Described as "Pant Wettingly Funny" Avenue Q ingeniously combines a cast of humans and puppets who tackle subjects such as dating, racism, internet porn, being gay and finding your purpose in life. The show has enjoyed enormous success, both on Broadway and in London, proving to be the perfect musical for our time, especially during an economic crisis. The combination of accessible prices and a hilarious night out has proved to be the perfect recipe for an audience hungry for escapism. The show saw its best box office sales over the last 4 months at the Noël Coward and the highest weekly grosses since the production opened in June 2006. The current cast, including Daniel Boys and Julie Atherton will remain the same.Videos
