AS LONG AS I HAVE MUSIC Album Of Songs By Songwriters Eyles And Gould Now Out

Songwriters Rob Eyles and Robert Gould have released their debut album, "As Long As I Have Music". The album, recorded and produced by Auburn Jam Music, will be available to download on iTunes and there will be a limited number of "hard copy" CDs. It features songs from the Eyles and Gould musicals "A Pebble For Aaron" (recently a finalist for the Stiles and Drewe Mentorship Award) and "The Wonderful Musician" (a musical-in-development based on the Grimm Brothers fairy tale) - and more!

Rob Eyles is an actor/singer/songwriter who made his West End debut playing Ray in "Dreamboats & Petticoats" (Wyndham's Theatre). Other stage credits include the leading role of Jan in the English premiere of "14-18: A Spectacular Musical" (Nekkerhal, Mechelen), "Around the World" (Mint Theater, NY/Sadler's Wells) and James Waltham in "The Wind Road Boys" (Gala Theatre, Durham). He recorded the role of Larry on the concept album for the new musical "The Happy Hooker" and played the role of Bernie in "Night Surf" (a short film based on a story by Stephen King.

Robert Gould taught history and wrote history text books before beginning to write librettos and lyrics for musical theatre. With Christopher J. Orton, he has co-written the musicals "Based On A True Story" (a workshop production of which was presented at the Jermyn Street Theatre in 2010), "My Land's Shore" (which received a workshop production at RADA Studios in 2013 and was a finalist for the Stiles And Drewe Mentorship Award in 2016), and "Grace Notes" (a finalist in the Leicester Square Theatre New Musical project in 2014). With Joe Sterling, he has co-written the musical "Roundabout" as well as some songs for the album "Somewhere In My Mind - the Songs of Joe Sterling". An album of songs with his lyrics, "Words Shared With Friends", was nominated for a 2014 Broadwayworld Album Award as Best Compilation Album.

Songs written by Eyles and Gould have been performed in concerts at the Union Theatre and the Battersea Barge and in 2015 they staged a sell-out concert of their songs at The Pheasantry, entitled "I Wasn't Thinking At All". Coinciding with their album launch, they will present another concert at The Pheasantry, with the same title as their album, "As Long As I Have Music".

Vocals on the album are provided by a stellar cast of West End performers - Kieran Brown (The Phantom Of The Opera, Pipe Dream, Wicked, Love Nver Dies), Jordan Lee Davies (Les Miserables, Molly Wobbly, The Secret Garden), Rob Houchen (Titanic, Les Miserables, Godspell), Lauren Ingram (The Rocky Horror Show, Gypsy, From Here To Eternity), Carolyn Maitland (Starting Here Starting Now, Miss Saigon, From Here To Eternity, Kiss Me Kate), Shaun McCourt (The Railway Children, War Horse, Joseph And the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat), Kayleigh McKnight (Starting Here Starting Now, Bend It Like Beckham), Keith Ramsay (Dr. Scroggy's War, Julius Caesar, Billy, BBC's Shetland & New Tricks), Michael Riseley (Les Miserables), Joe Sterling (The Simon And Garfunkel Story, Buddy Holly And The Cricketers, Honk!, The Jungle Book).
