The 2015 programme for both the King's and Theatre Royal in Glasgow is nothing short of spectacular. Several huge productions are heading out on tour this year including The Bodyguard in March, Shrek in April, The Producers in June and The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time in August- you really are spoiled for choice!

I'm incredibly excited that Christina Bianco is returning to Scotland in 2015 and even more so that she is touring with another of my favourites, Kerry Ellis. The pair have teamed up with Adam Garcia for a three-night tour that stops off at Aberdeen's Music Hall on the 23rd of April, Dundee's Caird Hall on the 24th and finishes at Edinburgh's Usher Hall on the 25th!

One of the most exciting shows for me in 2015 is Craig Adams' musical LIFT staged in the newly refurbished Arches studio theatre in July. LIFT is set to run for a week and you can follow @LIFTScotland on Twitter for further information as it becomes available.

While people who start talking about the Edinburgh Fringe in December are right up there with those who start talking about Christmas in June, it is a huge part of my theatre year. Having been reviewing at the festival for a couple of years now there are a few production companies who I am keen to see returning as I have enjoyed their previous work so much. In general in 2015 I am looking for exciting new musical writing and hopefully some excellent cabaret. I overdosed on comedy in 2014 and inevitably had several awful experiences so I'm hoping to be a bit more selective in 2015!

I'm looking forward to heading down to London at some point to see Tony award-winning musical Beautiful at the Aldwych after it opens in February. I am also curious to see how Bend It Like Beckham translates to the stage when it opens at the Phoenix in June.
