An up-and-coming novelist and a struggling actress recall the highs and lows of their relationship through a series of songs, starting from opposite points in time and meeting in the middle. The Last Five Years is an intimate, funny, and devastatingly honest examination of life and love.
Jason Robert Brown’s Drama Desk Award winning musical premiered Off-Broadway in 2001 and has since been adapted into a film featuring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan. It has been performed to rave reviews all over the world and is now making its professional Morgantown premiere starring Nora Perone and Daniel A. Stevens, with direction by Jen Coles and musical direction by R.J. Nestor.
