This musical-comedy gem has been delighting audiences since it set attendance records on Broadway in 1956. Based on George Bernard Shaw's classic play, this musical tells the story of the sassy Eliza Doolittle, who while trying to earn a meager living selling flowers on the streets of London has her life turned upside down when she bumps into the arrogant professor of phonetics, Henry Higgins. Higgins makes a wager that he can pass Eliza off as a "lady" simply by training her to speak English properly. And, w ith songs like, Wouldn't It Be Loverly?, With a Little Bit of Luck, The Rain in Spain, I Could Have Danced All Night, On the Street Where You Live, Get Me to the Church on Time and, I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face it's no wonder everyone-not just Henry Higgins-falls in love with Eliza Doolittle.
