Beyond the Stage, Children's Theatre of Charleston's (CTOC) teen group, will be hosting an audition workshop for those aged 8 to 18 on Friday, January 4th, 2019 at 6:30 PM. This informative and fun workshop is open to all aspiring child and teen actors. Whether you'd like help preparing for your audition for Madagascar the Musical Jr or just want a few tips from seasoned teen actors on how to overcome your pre-audition jitters, this free workshop is will be beneficial.
The audition workshop will take place at CTOC's workshop/rehearsal space located at 1120 Kanawha BLVD E., in Charleston, WV.
For those unfamiliar with Beyond the Stage, here's is CTOC's brief description of the group and its purpose.
"CTOC's Beyond the Stage was created in order to continue the mission of Children's Theatre of Charleston to create extraordinary theatre experiences for young people in grades 8-12 in the Kanawha Valley. Part of the mission is to educate, challenge and inspire young people as they serve as an integral part of Children's Theatre of Charleston on a volunteer basis for one year. This experience allows The Theatre Project members to grow in leadership, communication, and public speaking. It helps them to accumulate community service hours and references for their future job, college, and school of arts applications."
