Evita, scored by legendary Broadway composer Andrew Lloyd Webber along with lyrics and book by Time Rice, tells the story of Eva Duarte and her journey from a poor child to one of the most powerful women in Latin America.

"She's such a powerful female," explained Actress Yael Reich, who will be portraying Eva Peron in the upcoming production, in a press release. "Performing Eva is a challenge for any woman in the theater. She rose up from her situation and blazed a trail. That is so timely - such an iconic character."

The musical, which ran for nearly 1,500 performances on Broadway and was made into a feature film starring Madonna in 1996, features hit songs such as "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and "Oh What A Circus."

Tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster and range from $64.42 to $98.42. You can also contact the Marshall Artist Series Box Office at (304) 696-6656 or visit their location at the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse on Marshall University's campus.
