Here on the Flight Path, a new romantic comedy by Norm Foster, flies into opening this Friday at the Old Opera House in Charles Town, WV.
The cast also focused on developing complex characters within the story of a unique relationship.
"The cast and I had to work extremely hard to bring the characters to life naturally, giving the audience the feeling they are not just watching and eavesdropping on the characters' conversations, but also allow them to sort of become the neighbor next door" said Frail.
"Learning about and developing a character like Gwen is such an interesting and fun process. She's similar to me in age and background, but I still felt like I really had to work to figure her out" said Jen George on playing Gwen.
"My favorite part of the process is being able to watch and interact with a very talented group of actresses. I've seen each of them really take on their part and bring the character to life. It's exciting to see how they will play their character or how they will interpret the dialogue" said Marcum.
Here on the Flight Path is not your typical romantic story and the cast is ready to share the unique story with an audience on opening night.
"Here on the Flight Path tells a strong story. It contains prominent themes in society: divorce, hurt, bitterness, awkwardness of new relationships, healing, and eventually, the desire to be in a lasting relationship. Of course, all of this is set against a group of flawed characters, each overcoming their own struggles. The show has many witty moments and some honest, raw emotions" said Marcum
"Here on the Flight Path is different than anything recently seen on the Old Opera House stage. It's a sweet romantic comedy that would make a great date night" said George.
"It is a wonderful show with a lot of comedy based around the sincere, funny and sometimes awkward moments the characters share as they develop their relationships and learn something about themselves. Don't let the opportunity fly by to share in the laughs with this wonderful cast in Here on the Flight Path" said Frail
Here on the Flight Path also features Elizabeth Van Absher as Fay and Elizabeth Ricketts as Angel. Here on the Flight Path will run March 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 at the Old Opera House, located at 204 N. George Street, Charles Town, WV. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 PM and Sunday matinee performances are at 2:30 PM..
