Grey Seal Puppets will present their 2007 UNIMA-USA Citation of Excellence-winning production of A Show of Virtues at McLean's Alden Theatre at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. Tickets are $14, $10 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

It's never too early to begin showing children character traits that are most admired by society. Inspired by William Bennett's "The Children's Book of Virtues," Grey Seal has produced an entertaining and enlightening program of stories from around the world including "The Little Hero of Holland," "The Tortoise and the Hare," "Please," and "Why Frog and Snake Never Play Together."

A traveling salesman trundles on stage with his large battered sample case and exhibits various containers, filled with virtues. Using his wares, he demonstrates courage, perseverance, politeness and tolerance. But in the end, the salesman realizes that virtues can't be bought; they are priceless, but they must be practiced to be earned. The production is recommended for children age six and older.

After the performance at 4:30 p.m., Grey Seal Puppets' Drew Allison will demonstrate hand, rod and shadow puppets at a workshop for children ages six and older. Workshop admission is $10 for a child accompanied by a parent. Tickets for the workshop are available at the box office.

Tickets are on sale now! To purchase tickets, stop by the Alden Theatre Box Office, or to purchase tickets by telephone or online, contact TICKETMASTER at 703-573-SEAT, or www.ticketmaster.com. For more information, call 703-790-0123, or visit: www.aldentheatre.org.
