Taffety Punk Theatre Company presents a reinterpretation of Shakespeare's classic tragedy, brought to life by an all-female ensemble. Directed by Michelle Shupe, this production features Lise Bruneau as Macbeth and Tonya Beckman as Lady Macbeth, who explore themes of ambition and fate through the lens of gender. Utilizing ancient imagery and innovative stage combat inspired by Filipino martial arts, the Riot Grrrls' fresh approach aims to highlight women's roles in both classic and contemporary theatre. The show runs from September 25 to October 12, 2024, at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop.
