Faction of Fools Theatre Company, DC’s Commedia dell’Arte theatre company, continues its 15th Anniversary Season with a Brontë-inspired dark comedy. Two sisters and a dog live out their lives on the bleak English moors, dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a hapless governess and a moor-hen set all three on a strange and dangerous path. THE MOORS is a dark comedy about love, desperation, and visibility told through the lens of the Fools signature style: Commedia dell'Arte.
Faction of Fools has entertained audiences since 2009 through the hallmarks of Commedia dell'Arte: masks, physical comedy, and recognizable archetypes. Silverman's veracious writing is paired perfectly with the archetypal style of Commedia which is based in the heightened, truthful commentary of society.
Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is at 545 7th St SE , Washington, DC.
