Riverside Center for the Performing Arts presents The Bridges of Madison County, which will run from Wednesday, September 20th - Sunday, November 12, 2023. Based on the best-selling novel and award-winning movie, The Bridges of Madison County tells the story of Francesca Johnson, a beautiful Italian woman who married an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy, looking forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm when her family heads to the 1965 State Fair. When ruggedly handsome, National Geographic photographer, Robert Kincaid, pulls into her driveway seeking directions, what happens in those four days may very well alter the course of Francesca's life. It is a sweeping romance about the roads we travel, the doors we open, and the bridges we dare to cross. With an incredible score by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, and book by Pulitzer and Tony Award winner Marsha Norman, The Bridges of Madison County is a powerful and touching love story that will leave you breathless with ballads including “Before and After You,” “One Second and Million Miles,” and “It All Fades Away.”
This production stars an outstanding cast led by husband-and-wife duo Adrianne Hick as Francesca Johnson, and Andrew Foote as Robert Kincaid.
