Set in the 1970s, Sojourners tells the story of Nigerian immigrants Abasiama and Ukpong as they navigate life in Texas. While Ukpong embraces the opportunities America offers, Abasiama grapples with homesickness, the challenges of pregnancy, and isolation from her family. This poignant drama, written by Mfoniso Udofia and directed by Valerie Curtis-Newton, explores the complexities of the American Dream through the lens of Nigerian culture and the immigrant experience. The cast features Billie Krishawn as Abasiama, Opa Adeyemo as Ukpong, Renea S. Brown as Moxie, and Kambi Gathesha as Disciple.
