Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is Tom Stoppard's Tony award winning meta-play that pulls the titular background characters to center stage as they embark on a hapless journey through Hamlet's chaotic court. Ushered along by the players - famous for their play within a play - the unlikely leads comedically explore our deepest uncertainties about life, death, probability, possibility, and fate.
From its first performance at the 1966 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to our first production of it at the 2009 Capital Fringe Festival, to the opening of our 2024 season, Ros & Guil (as we lovingly call it) holds a special place in the hearts of all Nu Sass members and fans. Come relive the whimsy and wonder of our origins with a new cast of DC’s rising stars.
DC Arts Center DCAC is at 2438 18th St NW , Washington, DC.
