Maraya Performing Arts premieres “Disney’s Moana Jr: The Musical,” a unique site-specific immersive experience in partnership with KIPP Adelante Preparatory Academy.
CHULA VISTA, CA - KIPP Adelante Preparatory Academy is being transformed into a show site for this spectacular performance of Moana Jr. This heartwarming and empowering story of Pacific Islanders and self-discovery is being brought to life by Maraya Performing Arts and a creative team of Filipino-American artists. The show opens March the 10th and closes on the 19th.
*Because this is site-specific, and immersive theatre that takes place both indoors and outdoors, we advise you to wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, light jacket/sweater, etc. to remain comfortable during the show. On days that it rains, the show will move indoors.
Seating is General Admission, and guests will be seated on a first come, first served basis. You are also welcome to bring your own lawn chair, but we will have folding chairs and bleacher seating available for you. Again, seating is general admission and first come first served, and limited to only 100 audience members per show, so reserve your tickets early!
Restrooms at KIPP Adelante are ADA Compliant and will be available for use for all guests.
PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING AND SHOES and but be prepared to move along to follow the actors. This show is immersive, so be prepared for an experience!
The school is ADA compliant, and we will give priority seating and accessibility to those who need special assistance. Disabled and elderly audience will given priority in the front bleachers, and led through KIPP campus through easy access pathways. Sorry; NO COMP TICKETS available. Each show is limited to only 100 guests maximum.
Absolutely no photos, videos, or audio recordings of the show whatsoever, please. In addition, please do not use your phone excessively so as to not distract fellow audience members or the performers. Do not eat food or snacks during the show. This can be very distracting. And there may be people around you with allergies.
The show run time is approximately 90 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.
