Vocal Arts DC presents Lucas and Irina Meachem in a recital at the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater on September 12, 2024. The GRAMMY Award-winning baritone Lucas Meachem, accompanied by pianist Irina Meachem, will perform a program featuring Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, Liszt’s Petrarch Sonnets, Ravel’s Don Quichotte à Dulcinée, along with works by Rachmaninov and William Grant Still. This season-opening performance highlights the couple's acclaimed artistry in a poignant exploration of themes such as grief and love through song.
