Cameron Mackintosh presents a brand new 25th anniversary production of Boublil & Schönberg's legendary musical, Les Misérables, with glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo.
Les Misérables is an epic saga that sweeps through three turbulent decades of 19th-century French history. The show is also the story of one man, the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the self-righteous Inspector Javert in a lifelong struggle to evade capture.
After a quarter century of breaking box office records and wowing audiences and critics alike, Les Mis returns to the same Kennedy Center stage that launched its North American success 25 years ago. Featuring such memorable songs as "On My Own," "I Dreamed a Dream," "One Day More," "Bring Him Home," and "Do You Hear the People Sing?", Les Miz is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit.
