Called one of Washingtons preeminent jazz singers and brightest voices in jazz (The Washington Post), jazz vocalist and Washington, D.C.-area native Lena Seikaly performs a sumptuous afternoon of jazz standards. Her rich mezzo-soprano voice is not only making waves locally, but Seikaly is also growing a following outside the Beltway. She was a semi-finalist in the prestigious 2015 Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Vocals Competition in L.A., and has headlined at Jazz At Lincoln Center Shanghai, Elkhart Jazz Festival, Mel Bay Jazz Festival, Chestertown Jazz Festival, D.C. Jazz Festival and Center City Jazz Festival. Additionally, she has released three albums under her name, and a fourth album with guitarist Steve Herberman entitled A Little Closer.
