A timeless fantasy about the power of love. Molly is in grave danger when a mugging while walking back to their apartment one-night leaves Sam dying in the street. Unable to leave Molly in need, Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next. With the help of a questionable storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly and protect her from harm. A modern musical production with book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin; music by Dave Stewart (of the band the Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (of Alanis Morissettes album Jagged Little Pill). Based on the hit 1990 romantic drama film of the same name starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze and featuring the classic song, Unchained Melody. Audience favorite Kadejah On, (most recently here as Bloody Mary in Rodgers and Hammersteins South Pacific) returns to our stage in the Whoopi Goldberg role of Oda Mae Brown.Riverside Center is a family-oriented theatre. We always seek to present live entertainment that appeals to the broadest range of customer ages, sensibilities, and tastes, while maintaining as much as possible the original content and integrity of each show. Please call the Box Office in regards to the suitability of particular shows for certain audiences. We do not admit children under the age of three to Mainstage Theatre performances.
