Acclaimed violinist Leonid Sushansky joins Maestro Villani and the MSO for Felix Mendelssohn’s highly-regarded and expressive Violin Concerto in E minor. At 15, Sushansky debuted with the New York Philharmonic at the invitation of conductor Zubin Mehta. He is the Artistic Director of the National Chamber Ensemble and continues his distinguished career as a performer and teacher. MSO concludes the concert with Ottorino Respighi’s gorgeous and picturesque tone poem, Pines of Rome.
