  3. Barbara Cook's Spotlight: Emily Skinner

With Broadway credits including The Full Monty, Side Show, and Billy Elliot the Musical, Emily Skinner returns to the Kennedy Center spotlight in this theater cabaret series curated by Broadway legend Barbara Cook.

As an actor, a director, and a recording artist, this triple threat has earned critical acclaim both on and Off-Broadway. With a breakthrough performance as one half of a Siamese twin sister act in Side Show, Emily Skinner made her name as one of Broadway's leading ladies and earned a Tony(r) nomination. Since then, Skinner has toured the US in the Disney revue On the Record and recently appeared in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical. Her comic timing made her shine as Agnes Gooch in the Kennedy Center's production of Mame, and in the Sondheim Celebration productions of Merrily We Roll Along and Company. She has the voice, the persona, the presence, and now… the Spotlight.
