The silvery soprano who knows how to work the spotlight, legendary Broadway star Barbara Cook (Candide, The Music Man, She Loves Me) takes the stage in her own series for the final Spotlight performances of the season.

Barbara Cook's silvery soprano, purity of tone, and warm presence have delighted audiences around the world for more than 50 years. Considered "Broadway's favorite ingenue" during the heyday of the Broadway musical, her many credits include the creation of three classic roles of musical theater: Cunegonde in Candide, Marian in The Music Man (Tony Award(r)), and Amalia in She Loves Me (Drama Desk Award). She has released 18 solo recordings, 3 compilations, and can be heard on another 18 cast recordings including the six-CD boxed set The Essential Barbara Cook (DRG Records). She most recently appeared on Broadway in the Roundabout Theater production of Sondheim on Sondheim and received a Tony(r) nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. Now she returns to take the stage for two performances, closing out her own Spotlight series as only she can!
