New York City-based production company The Wild Root Company announced today that it will launch an interactive workshop experience for ticketed audiences who attend the company's first look presentations of Rocco Natale's new play ROOM AT THE END OF THE HALL, part of Arena Stage's Kogod Cradle Series.

Wild Root's interactive workshop will invite audiences to live-tweet their feedback on the latest draft of Natale's new play during and after each evening's performance using the hashtag #RoomTweetBack. Following each performance, audiences will be given an exclusive access code to watch their feedback in action on a live stream accessible on The Wild Root Company's website (www.WildRoot.org) during the next day's rehearsal and performances.

"We're passionate about engaging audiences in the new play development process and finding unique ways to do so," said Wild Root Producer Marissa Beringer. "We're excited to build this inventive new work with audiences who attend these workshops at Arena Stage, alongside the accomplished and dynamic creative team we've assembled for the weeklong exploration. Furthermore, we're grateful and inspired by the extraordinary support that Arena Stage has given us in developing this new play through this special program. They are truly a vanguard in the movement to build and share new American work."

Tom Story will direct the Room at the End of the Hall workshop, which will feature Silas Gordon Brigham (The Wolfe Twins at Studio Theatre) and Sean Hudock (Private Romeo, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey). Edward T. Morris (Yale Rep's Stones in his Pockets) is the scenic designer. Jocelyn Clarke, resident dramaturge at Arena Stage, is providing dramaturgical support. Samantha Owen will stage manage.

Wild Root's live stream will launch the afternoon of Friday Jan 16 following the Jan 15 presentation, and will be live Jan 17 and Jan 18. The ROOM AT THE END OF THE HALL cast and creative team will hold a post-performance talk back In lieu of a live stream for audiences who attend the Sunday Jan 18 performance.
