Wilson will also perform during the ceremony; also in the lineup are Ne-Yo, Steve Miller, Chely Wright, Fifth Harmony, Patti LaBelle, Nico & Vinz and The Tenors.
President Calvin Coolidge started the tradition in 1923 with help from the National Park Service. Google's Made With Code is the sponsor for this year's event, and the company is giving girls across the US the opportunity to code a lighting design for each state's tree.
Hanks's upcoming big screen projects include A Hologram for the King, Ithaca and The Lost Symbol. He recently starred in Saving Mr. Banks, Captain Phillips and Cloud Atlas, as well as Broadway's Lucky Guy.
Wilson, who has appeared in Chicago on Broadway, will next be seen in the films Kiss Me, Brother in Laws and Facing the Wind. Among her recent TV credits are The Full Circle, The Good Wife and Girls.
