TheatreWashington to Announce Nominees for 28th Helen Hayes Awards, 3/23

theatreWashington will announce the nominees for the 28th Helen Hayes Awards on Monday, February 27, 2012 in the Helen Hayes Gallery at The National Theatre.   

The nomination announcements begin at 6:30 pm. Representatives of theatreWashington and the Washington theatre community will be in attendance and available for interviews and photographs. 

Theatre productions and artists will be recognized for excellence in 26 categories. A full listing of the Award nominees will be available at www.theatreWashington.org following the ceremony at approximately 8:00 pm.

Washington, DC's theatre community is among the largest and most successful in the nation.  With nearly 80 professional theatre companies, Washington, DC is second only to New York for the number of productions produced each year. The Helen Hayes Awards recognizes excellence in this diverse and dynamic theatre community.  

Award recipients will be announced at the Helen Hayes Awards ceremony April 23, 2012 at the Warner Theatre.
