Bad Things? How about good things? With Season Six of HBO's runaway vampire hit "True Blood" set for a June 16 opener, Washington, DC "casino music" big band The Swing Set with Alex Cook announced today that it will donate 100 percent of download profits from its Rat Pack-inspired reimagining of the fanger theme song "Bad Things" to horror-themed theatre company Molotov Theatre Group.

The Swing Set with Alex Cook is the brainchild of Molotov's Co-Artistic Director Alex Zavistovich. The band's debut performance will be ten days after the True Blood season debut, on June 26, on the Rams Head Center Stage at the Maryland Live! Casino in Arundel Mills, MD.

Molotov Theatre Group is a horror- and suspense-based 501(c)(3) charity theatre company based in Washington, DC. The Swing Set's interpretation of "Bad Things" will be available through the Molotov Theatre Group website by visiting www.molotovtheatre.org and clicking "download bad things."

The song also is available through CDBaby, and other online music retailers including iTunes.

True Blood fans, as well as horror, music and Rat Pack aficianados who download "Bad Things" through the Molotov Theatre Group Web site are eligible to receive a special discounted rate on season passes for the Molotov Theatre Group 2013/2014 season.

Everyone who purchases "Bad Things" through Molotov also will be eligible for a drawing to win two free season passes for the Molotov Theatre Group's 2013/2014 season. (The season's shows are all plays that have been turned into movies: "Extremities," "Normal," and "Killer Joe.")

Fans straddling the fence can choose to try before they buy by streaming "Bad Things" on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/electric-mohawk/the-swing-set-bad-things.

"Bad Things" also will be featured on The Swing Set with Alex Cook's debut CD, "Casino Music," on the New York City-based indie label Young Pals Music.

The Swing Set with Alex Cook is a Washington, DC based 10-piece jazz big band that plays Rat Pack-inspired standards and contemporary songs arranged with the same '60s flavor.
