"We are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing these extraordinary playwrights."Kicking off YPT's 2011-2012 season, The Fight for Family will present three original student-written plays exploring the question, "What would you do for your family?" The plays, A Loving Heart by Reyna Rios, A Soldier's Life Before and After by Cristian Miguel and Heartless by Jessy Deleon, were written by students of Bell Multicultural High School during YPT's In-School Playwriting Program. The In-School Playwriting Program integrates the art of playwriting into the classroom in order to enhance student literacy, creative expression and communication, serving over 1,000 elementary, middle and high school students annually throughout Greater Washington.Videos
