The Shakespeare Theatre Company announces casting for the two remaining productions of their 25th Anniversary Season. The Servant of Two Masters, running from May 15–June 24 at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW), and The Merry Wives of Windsor, running from June 12–July 15 at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW), both feature new and familiar faces to STC's stages.

With his STC directorial debut, director Christopher Bayes brings The Servant of Two Masters, a magical comedy where identities are mistaken, engagements are broken and lovers are reunited, to the Lansburgh Theatre this summer. Carlo Goldoni's commedia dell'arte masterpiece stars Danielle Brooks as Clarice, Liam Craig as Brighella, Steven Epp as Truffaldino, Alan Gilmore as Pantalone, Andy Grotelueschen as Silvio, Rachel Spencer Hewitt as Beatrice, Jesse Perez as Florindo, Don Darryl Rivera as Il Dottore and Liz Wisan as Smeraldina. Ensemble members include Paul Edward Hope and Paul Reisman.

The Servant of Two Masters tells the story of Truffaldino, a crafty servant who creates a wacky scheme to double his wages and his meals by serving two masters at once. The story takes place in Venice and follows Truffaldino throughout his zany adventures. During the show's sold-out run at Yale Repertory Theatre, The New York Times declared, "The laughter would be quite enough to propel The Servant of Two Masters onto a theater lover's must-see list. But then there's the magic… Now that's theater!"

The Merry Wives of Windsor, a bawdy, riotous romp that hasn't been seen on STC's stage in more than a decade, includes Bev Appleton as Bardolph, Jarlath Conroy as Shallow, STC Affiliated Artist Veanne Cox as Mistress Page, Michael Keyloun as Abraham Slender, Jimmy Kieffer as the Host of the Garter Inn, STC Affiliated Artist Floyd King as Sir Hugh Evans, James Konicek as Pistol, Caralyn Kozlowski as Mistress Ford, Michael Mastro as Master Frank Ford, Hugh Nees as Nym, Kristine Nielsen as Mistress Quickly, Kurt Rhoads as Master George Page, David Schramm as Sir John Falstaff and STC Affiliated Artist Tom Story as Doctor Caius. Ensemble members include Remy Brettell, Aayush Chandan, Caroline Coleman, Alyssa Gagaran, Michael Gregory, Aaryn Kopp, Matthew McGee, Anne Page, Ian Pedersen and AiDan White. Making his STC directorial debut, director Stephen Rayne puts a new spin on this comedy and a merry end to an exceptional season.

The Merry Wives of Windsor tells the tale of Falstaff, an impoverished knight, who plots to woo two wealthy wives at the same time. However, his plan backfires and the cunning wives seek revenge, bringing chaos to Windsor and embarrassment after embarrassment to Falstaff.
