BroadwayWorld.com is excited to share a new weekly series developed by the Theatre Communications Group! This week Wooly Mammoth Theatre Company's Rachel Grossman shares pivotal moments in her theatre career and why the arts matter to her!

Rachel Grossman is a DC-based performing artist, administrator and educator. Rachel is Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company's Connectivity Director and is a co-founder and Ring Leader, Organizational Advancement for dog & pony dc (DC's only ensemble-based devised theatre company). She spent four seasons as the Director of Education & Outreach at Round House Theatre and prior to that she managed programming in the education departments at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Arena Stage and CENTERSTAGE (Baltimore, MD). Rachel is a founding member of Referendum: Political Arts Collective through which she produced and directed THE TROJAN WOMEN (as part of the 2nd Annual Capital Fringe Festival), and produced and appeared in TO HAVE AND TO HOLD and THE BURIAL AT THEBES. Directing credits also include Just a Dream and Holes at Adventure Theatre and Assistant Directing Full Circle at Woolly Mammoth. Rachel is honored to have been an Associate Producer for the 2010 Source Festival, spent time producing with eXtreme eXchange, performing with DC Playback Theatre and adjudicating with the Helen Hayes Awards. A firm supporter of health and safety in the workplace and community, Rachel has been an American Red Cross instructor since 2001. Rachel resides in Washington, DC with her husband, lighting designer Colin K. Bills, and their spirited dog, Adler. Rachel is originally from Albion, MI.
