Volunteers from past and present seasons will join together under the Reston Community Players' banner to spread some musical cheer at this year's Reston Holiday Parade on Friday, November 28, 2014.

The Reston Holiday Parade, an annual Friday after Thanksgiving tradition since 1990, will bring holiday cheer to the crowds as floats and performing artists march down Market Street.

This year, the Reston Community Players family will march together down Market Street performing holiday songs from Broadway shows under the musical direction of Dana Van Slyke.

"We are proud to join the Reston Holiday Parade for the second year," said Reston Community Players board member Richard E. Schneider. "Having appeared in the parade last year with music from the hit Broadway show LES MISERABLES, this year the Reston Community Players will present holiday songs from Broadway shows, including "We Need A Little Christmas" from Mame, "We'll Get a New Deal for Christmas" from Annie, "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music, and more. The Players look forward to being a regular part of this extraordinary community event every year."

Reston Community Players' 48th season continues with the thrilling whodunit Rehearsal for Murder, running January 16-31, 2015; followed by the local debut of Andrew Lloyd Webber's electrifying musical Sunset Boulevard, running February 27 - March 21, 2015; and concluding with the phenomenally funny Ken Ludwig play The Fox on the Fairway, running April 24-May 9, 2015.

All RCP main stage productions are performed at CenterStage at the Reston Community Center, 2310 Colts Neck Road, Reston, VA. CenterStage is handicap accessible and offers listening devices for the hearing impaired. Tickets can be purchased through www.restonplayers.org or by calling the CenterStage box office at 703-476-4500 x 3.
