Don Cristóbal is the worst hombre! His puppet show comes to the nation's capital for one final, offensively illuminating performance. Experience the Punch and Judy tradition through the whimsically distorted lens of Pointless puppetry and an original, multilingual story!
It's crass. It's violent. Who would do such a thing?
Don Cristóbal freely adapts Federico Garcia Lorca's iconic puppet show El Retablillo de Don Cristóbal into a twisted tale of bilingual barbs and billy clubs, written by Co-Directors Rachel Menyuk and Eric Swartz & Co-Artistic Director Patti Kalil. Don Cristóbal is the company's first multilingual production since 2015's Gimme a Band, Gimme a Banana!- The Carmen Miranda Story, and features a predominantly Latinx cast. Don Cristóbal is the company's third show at Dance Loft on 14, and the final show of their 2017-2018 season.WHEN:
