Photo Flash: MEAN GIRLS Star Ben Cook Returns Home To Lorton, VA For A Workshop

A Class Act NY brought Broadway's Ben Cook (MEAN GIRLS, BILLY ELLIOT, NEWSIES) back home to Virginia for an exciting MEAN GIRLS Workshop!
On Monday, February 18 A Class Act NY brought another exciting program to the DC area in collaboration with Mount Vernon Community Children's Theatre! Previously, the two organizations collaborated on multiple successful workshops with Broadway stars such as Desi Oakley (WICKED, WAITRESS) and Andrew Chappelle (HAMILTON, MAMMA MIA) and Disney Channel Director Wendy Faraone!
The instructor for this workshop was Broadway's Ben Cook, who grew up in Lorton, VA where Monday's workshop took place! Cook can currently be seen in MEAN GIRLS as a member of the ensemble. He also starred on Broadway in BILLY ELLIOT, TUCK EVERLASTING, and RAGTIME, as well as the National Tour of NEWSIES!
Lucky participants started the day off by learning a MEAN GIRLS song and dance combo. In the latter part of the class, students performed mock auditions for Ben who offered helpful feedback and coaching. Ben also answered students questions in an informative Q&A and took photos and autographs with his students!
