One week before the first anniversary of Donald Trump's inauguration as President, NextStop Theatre Company, near Reston Town Center, has debuted the 45th entry into the popular play "45 Plays for 45 Presidents" to a sold out opening weekend.
"From our very first audience on industry preview night, we could tell this show was going to be a hit." said Matthew C. Thompson, Managing Director of NextStop Theatre. "When a cast on-stage is having as much fun as this incredibly talented group of women, the audience can't help but enjoy themselves and tell all of their friends afterward."
The play, which is re-written after each election, presents a series of 45 two-minute plays -- one for each American President. In a female-forward twist to the amusing premise, NextStop's production also casts only women as all the presidents. The ensemble includes Caroline Kashner, Brittany Martz, Chloe Mikala, Mary Myers, and Sarah Anne Sillers.
The production is directed by Megan Behm, and includes a creative team of Scenic Designer Daniel Hobbs, Sound Designer Reid May, Lighting/Projections Designer Sean Cox, Costume Designer Alison Samantha Johnson, Production Stage Manager Eileen Goodrich, and Properties Designer E. Lynda Bruce.
Performances are Thursdays through Sundays from January 11th to February 4th, 2018. General Admission tickets range from $20 to $55. Tickets are available online at www.NextStopTheatre.org or by calling 866-811-4111. All seating is General Admission. Additional fees may apply. Performance popularity determines ticket prices: advance booking is strongly recommended.
