On Thursday, November 25, 2010 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, Historic Jordan Springs will host its Third Annual Thanksgiving dinner in the main ballroom. Guest can look forward to two major changes for the 2010 Thanksgiving event.
The first, and most notable, Jordan Springs welcomes new Executive Chef Jane Nelson, who brings over a decade of experience in culinary arts to the estate's dining experience. Chef Nelson has already successfully produced dozens of private events at the estate, and this Thanksgiving will be her first major public event at the estate.
Second, this will be the first year that Jordan Springs is providing its Thanksgiving guests with a plated meal. Chef Nelson has put together a four-course menu, starting with a choice of Butternut Squash Soup or Cream of Tomato, followed by an Autumn Salad with Butter Lettuce and Poppy Seed Crème Fraiche Dressing. A traditional main entrée will follow with a duo of Dry Rubbed Roasted Turkey with Pan Gravy and Cherry and Pomegranate Glazed Ham served with Bread Stuffing, Brown Butter Green Beans, Whipped Yukon Gold Potatoes, Cranberry Orange Chutney, and Buttermilk Biscuits with Honey Butter. For dessert, a carte of selections will be presented from which guests may choose.
Tickets are available online at www.HistoricJordanSprings.com or by calling the box office at 540.667.7744.
