Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announces a third run of The Trump Card by Mike Daisey, directed by Isaac Butler. The Trump Card will run from October 25-30, 2016. This new production follows a sold-out workshop run in June and a sold-out run in August, both at Woolly, and concludes a 13-city national whistlestop tour.

Mike Daisey takes on the reigning world heavyweight of self-mythologizing, the short-fingered vulgarian who captured a nation's heart through bullying, charm, one-syllable explosions, and occasionally telling the brutal truth: Donald J. Trump. Daisey tells Trump's story from his earliest days, tracking him as he makes himself into a new American archetype-the very first rich man famous exclusively for being rich. In The Trump Card, Daisey breaks down what makes Trump tick... and in doing so illuminates the state of our American Dream (and how we've sold it out).

The Trump Card is the sixth monologue by Mike Daisey to be presented by Woolly, following If You See Something, Say Something (2008); How Theater Failed America (2009); The Last Cargo Cult (2010); The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs (2011 and 2012); and American Utopias (2013). New York-based director Isaac Butler made his directing debut at Woolly with this production.

"It is rare in theatre to be able to respond so immediately to the changing political and cultural landscape, but Mike Daisey is the exception," says Woolly Mammoth Artistic Director Howard Shalwitz. "He provides his audiences with genuine, fresh insights into the phenomenon known as Trump. I am excited to see how the show has evolved in the past 6 weeks, landing on our stage in time for this historic election."

The Trump Card runs October 25-30, 2016, with performances Tuesday-Saturday at 8pm, Saturday at 3pm, and Sunday at 2pm. More information about Woolly's performance schedule can be found at woollymammoth.net.

Tickets to The Trump Card will be available for purchase beginning on September 26th, 2016. Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased online at woollymammoth.net, by phone at (202) 393-3939, via email at tickets@woollymammoth.net, or in person at the Box Office, located at 641 D Street NW.

Patrons who are 30-years-old and younger may, at any time, purchase Section B tickets for $20 to any performance. There are also discounts available for educators, seniors, first responder men and women, and active US military personnel, spouses, and veterans. More information is available at woollymammoth.net.

Now beginning its 37th Season, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company continues to hold its place at the leading edge of American theatre. Acknowledged as "one of the most influential outposts for the best new American plays" (The Washington Post) and "known for its productions of innovative new plays" (The New York Times), Woolly Mammoth is a national leader in the development of new works and one of the best known and most influential mid-sized theatres in America.
