(Columbia, MD) Rep Stage, professional Equity theatre in residence at HowardCommunity College, will present Fully Committed, a one-man comedy by Becky Mode, from February 3 – 26, 2006 in the HCC Theatre Outback on the college campus.

Fully Committed follows a day in the life of Sam Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who mans the red-hot reservation line at Manhattan's number one restaurant. Coercion, threats, bribes, histrionics – a cast of desperate callers will stop at nothing in their zeal to land a prime reservation, or the right table. Amid the barrage, Sam has his own needs to contend with – his recently widowed dad wants him home for Christmas, and he's up for a choice part at LincolnCenter. While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses, can he manage to look out for himself? A wonderful acting challenge, Fully Committed has forty wildly diverse characters designed to be played by a single performer.

Featured in this one-man tour de force is new Rep Stage Producer and Artistic Director, Michael Stebbins. DC and Baltimore area appearances include the stages of Round House Theatre, Washington Jewish Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, and as a guest artist of the Maryland Arts Festival in the summer of 2004, he appeared as the Emcee in Cabaret. Stebbins' Off-Broadway credits include appearances at The Public Theatre/New York Shakespeare Festival, Mint Theatre, Masterworks Laboratory Theatre, and his not-for-profit theatre company, Stage Door Acting Ensemble of New York, Inc.

Fully Committed is Becky Mode's first play. A former actress, waitress and coat check girl, she has written for HBO, CBS, Disney, Nickelodeon, Columbia Pictures, and ABC, including a pilot based on this play. She is currently writing for "JoJo's Circus" on the Disney Channel.

The production is being directed by Susan Kramer, Producer and Artistic Director for the Howard Community College Student and Alumni Arts program. Her directing credits at Rep Stage include Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, Burn This and scripts for the Works in Progress Play Development Program.

Completing the design team for Fully Committed are Daniel Ettinger – set design, Jay Herzog – lighting design, Michael Wood – costume design, Jen Hoopes – prop design and Cambra Overend – stage management.
